Concentric Eddy Current Separators are precisely engineered devices that excel in seamlessly extracting the smallest non-ferrous particles from large quantities of material in various recycling applications. They demonstrate remarkable efficiency in classifying small aluminum scrap.
• Capable of sorting materials up to 2 mm in size.
• Specifically designed to identify microscopic non-ferrous metallic contaminants.
• Ideally suited for cleaning processes in PET plastic flak streams.
• Applicable for glass scrap recycling and wet sorting in incineration bottom ash (IBA) processing.
The technical principle of the concentric eddy current separator is similar to that of the eccentric eddy current separator, but their applications differ. The concentric rotor has an alternating pole system of rare earth magnets that completely fills the available space inside the separation rotor drum. This magnet system rotates at high speed and remains only a few millimeters away from the outer shell, generating extremely strong "eddy currents" on the surface, which in turn cause considerable repulsive forces.
main features
Magnetic separation
The optional 3,000 Gauss drum magnet and 15,000 Gauss high intensity roller are designed to separate small amounts of residual ferrometals and magnetic stainless steel. This protects the concentric eddy current separator and other recycling equipment.
conveyor systems
Maximize separation efficiency with uniform, single-layer feeding from an optional vibratory conveyor. This is complemented by customized feeding and separation systems for high extraction and optimized recovery of non-ferrous materials.
drive motors
Equipped with ABB® drive motors as standard, with SEW® motors available as an option. All electronic components are UL and CSA certified and a variable speed control panel offers flexible operating options via VFDs.
drum motor
The compact and maintenance-free integrated drum motor drives the conveyor belt with a protection class of IP66 and ensures durability and user-friendliness.
high-frequency rotor
The high frequency rotor uses powerful rare earth magnets (NdFeB) and has a robust and durable double tube structure. The rotor speed is 3,000-4,000 rpm and the belt surface strength is 4,500 Gauss.
conveyor belts
A variety of short conveyor belts are available, including thin, corrugated, PU, PVC and rubber models in various widths and styles. Thanks to the cantilever frame design, the belt can be replaced in just 10 minutes.
Design & Customization
Our compact integrated design as well as special surface treatments for different industries significantly extend the service life of the equipment. In addition, we offer customized colors according to customer requirements.
Adjustable divider plate
The separation plate is manually adjustable in angle, height and distance and works together with rotor speed and position to ensure flawless, 100% separation of non-ferrous metals. These components are typically made of manganese steel or Trespa and ensure optimal performance.
